“What were those small points?”

“Complaints of vampire bats,” said Holmes.

He smiled at my expression. “In frustration at her husband’s behaviour, Mrs. Dundas had taken to throwing his false teeth at male passers-by every night.”

I frowned. “Her husband’s cruelty was indefensible but that just isn’t cricket.”

“Perhaps not,” said Holmes. “But apparently she had a lovely bowling action.”

Edit: I was just looking at this again and noticed for some reason I'd changed the name of the wife from Dundas. I think my mind might be going...

I noticed this at the time, but having just written a Dundas clerihew I thought I'd stay quiet in case there was something obvious I'd missed. If I see you're mind in my travels I'll let you know ;) Mine went a long time ago.

Oh, I'll never be able to give up the puns ^^" And I liked the vampire bat idea ^_^ Well, I mean, you have something small flying at you out of the dark and leaving teeth marks - surely you're going to immediately think of vampire bats..? ^^
