If there ever was a fleeting character in canon, then it is this one. But he does serve a noble purpose – making Holmes shine! :)

Oh, I love this ^^ He may be a very minor character with only one short scene but it's a scene with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, in a story that's going to be read over and over again. That's a pretty good kind of immortality - we should be so lucky ^^
