Canon Story: The Adventure of the Empty House
Title: The Chair
Author: [livejournal.com profile] vaysh
Rating: G
Words: 60

Sherlock Holmes prided himself on his lack of sentiment, for the sake of pure, crystal-sharp logic. But Sherlock Holmes was no fool. Mrs Hudson's joy upon his return moved him deeply, and when he sat in his chair again, faced with Watson's empty one, he finally admitted to himself how much he'd missed him, this best, this bravest of friends.

I'm sure that Holmes did realise how much he'd missed Watson and how much he meant to him - he certainly moved Watson back into Baker Street quickly enough ^^
