Do forgive that my 60's are completely out of order, I'm slowly catching up.

There is a method in his madness, they say. Well, I for one cannot conceive what my vanished race horse and limping sheep could possibly have in common, but... From his smug, satisfied smirk and the sudden, understanding sparkle in his companion’s bright blue eyes I guess they must have realised something that might forever remains a mystery for me.

Date: 2014-10-15 04:13 pm (UTC)It is an intriguing moment in the story when Holmes asks if there's anything wrong with the sheep. At least Ross eventually gets the explanation after Holmes has done his dramatic reveal - I wonder if perhaps the stable-lad never finds out ^^"

Date: 2014-10-15 06:27 pm (UTC)Actually, if memory serves, there are quite a lot of minor characters who push the story forward at certain points, but never get to see the whole picture. One example for all would be Irregulars. I find this somewhat disturbing.
