Von Bork
Was escorted down the garden walk.
He was feeling a tiny bit of wrath
Because Holmes had led him up the garden path.

... Though ... *poke at Doyle's writing* I always wondered why Von Bork didn't tried to run away while being escored by two elderly gentlemen. (We might have had nice piece of H&W showing that they aren't scrapheap yet.)

I'm from the north of England - we do things differently there ^_^

I think ACD does say that Von Bork is bound hand and foot, so I suppose when they "walk" him down the garden walk, he's more shuffling and hopping. But, yes - Von Bork is young and strong. You'd think Holmes and Watson would have a little more trouble getting him to the car.

Very nice play on said garden path being walked up and down. :) I am pleased to report that even the German pronunciation of Bork rhymes smoothly with walk.

Yes, "path" and "wrath" don't rhyme in most of England but I was so taken with that play on going up and down the garden walk, that I couldn't resist ^^ Relieved to know that "Bork" and "walk" definitely do rhyme without any argument needed ^_^
