Canon Story: The Mazarin Stone
Title: Honest Mistake
Author: [livejournal.com profile] winryweiss
Rating: G
Notes: Watson's PoV.

Proofread from now on. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hardboiledbaby.

Upon my return I found Holmes in his armchair, unmoving and unresponsive. At first I busied myself with a novel, not wanting to disturb his contemplative mood.

After some hours I started talking despite his continued silence, trying to draw him back to reality.

“Watson?” Holmes stood in the doorway. “Are you aware that you’re conversing with my wax bust?”

Bahaha! That's hilarious!

Shows how accustomed Watson is to being ignored, the poor fellow.

In some cases the waxwork might make for a better companion than its living counterpart. At least it won't make scathing remarks or insult Watson's intelligence! ;)

Oh, most amusing ^___^ *falls over laughing* (I bet Mrs. Hudson would prefer to have the wax version - better behaved ^_^)

And I'm touched that you're taking the time to have your 60s beta-read. Beyond the call of duty and all that ^^
