Base-Line and Caro-Line’s paths crossed, and she angled herself towards him.

“Introduce me?” She nodded over at the line leaning towards her.

Base-Line scowled. They didn’t need to be introduced. Those two lines were eventually going to meet.

Perhaps, he thought, he’d be able to find romance if he weren’t so straight. After all, he did appear to be bisectual.

LOL! That was delightful, and so very clever. And here Holmes thought nothing good could come of working a love-story into the fifth proposition of Euclid. You just had to prove him wrong, didn't you? ;)

Well, essentially it's just that if two lines are leaning towards each other, and you keep extending them, they will eventually meet and intersect. I thought that was pretty romantic, even if Holmes doesn't ^_^

Exceedingly clever and strangely romantic. What an original take on that throw-away half-line from Holmes. Best geometry lesson so far in my life. :)
