The engagement is announced between Dr John H Watson late of the Army Medical Department, now of Baker Street and Miss Mary Morstan, daughter of the late Captain Morstan of the Indian Regiment, currently employed by Mrs Cecil Forrester of Camberwell.  The wedding will be a quiet affair with a reception for close friends only.  All welcome at the church.

A charming announcement ^^ Maybe a little sad too - there will be no relatives at the wedding. I imagine Mr. Holmes and Mrs. Forrester will be the witnesses?

A wonderful wedding announcement. Oddly reminiscent of Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatche's own. :) I love the way you place the words - late of the Army Medical Department, daughter of the late Captain Morstan. There is a certain poetic art to writing such announcements, and you have it down pat.

Thank you very much. I have to admit to checking BC's for the wording, since it's not something I would use normally ;) I liked the opportunity to find something suitable to say for the happy couple.
