Date: 2015-06-14 08:42 pm (UTC)I do understand Holmes - he does what he thinks is necessary for his work - but it's dreadfully hard on Watson. It's a wonder that he trusts Holmes at all.

Date: 2015-06-14 10:59 pm (UTC)I often think that someone as brilliant as Holmes must have had the capacity to come up with less hurtful investigative ploys if he had seen a reason to make the effort. If he'd thought emotional well-being (Watson's and even his own) more worth protecting. Stuff like Reigate Squires I can forgive, but Dying Detective and Reichenbach are not only crying wolf, they're crying shames! :)
