"Hot boiled beans and butter; walk in and find your supper!" chanted everyone.
Holmes re-entered the room and began a determined search.
“Cold!” called Hopkins.
“Cold!” called Mrs. Hudson.
“Even colder!” laughed Watson.
Lestrade furrowed his brow. “When do we tell him we didn’t hide the thimble?” he whispered.
“Oh, he’s the genius,” grinned Watson. “Let him work it out.”

Date: 2015-10-04 05:18 pm (UTC)In the north of England we have something called "mushy peas" - generally served with fish and chips. It looks truly revolting. I've never been able to bring myself to try it. Recently I heard someone on the bus talking about mushy pea sandwiches. Nearly phoned the south to ask for political asylum ^__^
