Halfway Point and MOD APPRECIATION POST

Hi all!

This Sunday will mark the halfway point for those of us doing a 60-word ficlet for all of the Holmes stories according to the original schedule. That's right, MISS will be number 30 out of 60!

If you've been enjoying this exercise, either as a writer or as a reader, please take some time this week to comment on this post and show your appreciation for spacemutineer, our fantastic, fabulous, and hard-working Mod. She's the one who's done all the work to form this community and keep us all on track. This would not be happening without her.

Aww! Why, thank you kindly! 60 for 60 has been great fun, exploring fiction like this, distilling pieces at a time down to just 60 words. Everyone has been terrific, and I'm still excited you've joined us on this little endeavor. I was a fan of yours before this, and I always look forward to seeing what you've come up with every week. You put a lot of punch into just sixty words. I love that.

I've loved doing this. I'm really glad you and I were crazy enough to think this would be a fun thing to do thirty weeks ago and I am still thrilled so many people come along with us, reading and writing.

Beyond that, I've loved exploring fiction and character like this. I love reading the canon in these little doses over time, and I love distilling each one down for myself into just 60 words. I still get excited every Sunday to read what everyone else came up with.

And what a great group we have -- every single person has been fun and friendly and they kindly play along with our madness. Here's to the next 30 weeks with you and everyone!

As for doing a mod appreciation post - it was really flawedamythyst's brilliant idea for a 30-week mod celebration. All I did was create the post and bring the balloons. ;-)
