Date: 2016-03-27 11:44 am (UTC)To be fair, Holmes does appear to alert the police at the end of the story after he's uncovered all the facts, and before the race is run. And he seems greatly disapproving of Sir Robert's actions. But I do wonder if he shouldn't have alerted the police as soon as he suspected Lady Falder was dead and that her body had been burnt in the furnace.
