A/N: My apologies to the Tadpole, but... *shrugs*

By all accounts—including Watson's—Percy Phelps had been blessed with exceptional abilities from the cradle on. However, sometimes being born with a silver spoon in one's mouth leads one to expect to be forever spoon-fed.

To his credit, Watson was patient and understanding with Phelps. I, on the other hand, could not resist taking a crack with the wicket.

Run out of patience, did Holmes? Neat!

Eh, I don't know that Percy is all that worthy of apologies. Not really the sharpest tack, that one, leaving secret papers alone in a room in search of coffee. He only got his job through nepotism. I can definitely see why Holmes would be annoyed!

This is a little wicked, and I like that. :)

Yeah, Percy was rather a piece of milky toast.
