Canon Story: The Norwood Builder
Rating: Gen
Author's Note: I know this topic has been discussed in the last round. But let's mention it again.

“Rabbits, Watson? The bones of two rabbits equal to that of a man?”
I shrugged. “Your theory of a domestic understanding is without a single proof.”
“Indeed, but I  believe that Jonas Oldacre is not the only character in our tale who knows how to patiently plot revenge. Rest in peace, Mister Lexington. Whatever your sins, your account is paid.”

If the Giant Rat of Sumatra was a tale for another time, the Case of the Huge Bunnies of Norwood is firmly under Mycroft's lock and key.

It's such an odd bit of forensic chaos in the case:-p

A really intriguing twist on the identity of the body in the fire. I like that - Oldacre and Mrs. Lexington working together on their individual revenges. It fits so well - in NORW Mrs. Lexington is risking a great deal by helping Oldacre but we're never given any real clue as to what's between them.

Granada also makes it a man on the fire instead of bunnies, but one of the transients mentioned in the story, and for no purpose beyond Oldacre needing a body for the fire. It fits better with the facts than bunnies, but I've always found it very upsetting.

That it was Mr. Lexington, however, is a very interesting theory...
