Canon Notes: This is my favorite story we've read so far. It is chock full of excitement, thrilling danger, loyal friendship, and unexpected moral quandaries. Wonder if we should start having a discussion post for the canon stories, because we'd have a lot to talk about for this one!


Our escape was intense. After, Holmes grinned triumphantly until he noticed me gasping, spent from the run.

“Watson? Are you all right, old man?”

“I’m not... an old man... but you... are a lunatic!” I replied between ragged breaths.

He threw his head back laughing, and clasped my shoulder. "Perhaps so! But there is nothing madness loves more than company.”

Y'know, a discussion post for the canon stories is a brilliant idea. Certainly CHAS has a ton of food for thought!
