Canon Story: A Case of Identity
Title: Righting Wrongs
Author: Mafief
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Summary: …we went, mother and I, with Mr. Hardy, who used to be our foreman, and it was there I met Mr. Hosmer Angel.
It is just as well that we should do business with the male relatives.
Mr Hardy is a relative and Holmes goes to talk to him.
Author’s Note: The 60 is inspired by someone’s blog post (I don’t remember the blog) about IDEN.

“Mr Windibank was in costume. A little odd, but I thought nothing of it because his daughter was talking with him,” said Mr Hardy.

Holmes described the entire affair. Shocked, Hardy drank some brandy to calm his nerves.

“She would not believe me, as I am but a stranger,” said Holmes. “But you can right the wrong and convince her.”

Yes - what a brilliant fix-it ^__^ I'd never thought about that before - we have no reason to think Mr. Hardy had any problems with his eyesight, and he's unlikely to have been part of the plot.
