In a self-defense instruction book I had in college (early 80s), the author spoke of a college fraternity's gang-rape of a mentally-disabled girl that resulted in no punishment for any of the men involved - and the author acidly reminded her readers that that fraternity would have been immediately disbanded if they'd been accused of consensual homosexual activity.
