Sherlock60: The Story Continues... with "The Blanched Soldier"

Hello! This Sunday, 24th Nov, we will be posting our 60 word ficlets for The Adventure of the Blanched Soldier.

If you haven’t tried 60 for 60 before, it’s all very straightforward – read Conan Doyle’s story, and then write a 60 word story based on it. Whatever inspires you: a missing scene, an explanation of contradiction in canon, an AU, a different narrator, taking a detail and going off at a tangent.

Embrace the joys of flash fiction! It gives the brain a good workout – makes you consider what is absolutely essential to tell a story well. (As always a reminder: you needn’t keep to our schedule and you don’t have to post every week – sherlock60 is open at all times for all 60s based on any of the canon stories.)
