This week, we’re having a look at The Illustrious Client. As always, I’ve typed up a few thoughts to get the discussion started.

Author's Notes: “…a [wo]man of personality can use hypnotism without any vulgar passes or tomfoolery.”

“Using hypnotism! Completely immoral,” muttered Holmes.

“Indeed,” murmured Mrs. Hudson. “Mr. Holmes, will you be performing any… noxious experiments tonight?”

“I was but…” Holmes yawned.

“You are feeling sleepy?”

Holmes frowned. “Mrs. Hudson—have you been performing your own experiment?”

“No, sir! Surely you can tell I am speaking the truth.” Mrs. Hudson leant forwards. “Just look into my eyes…”

Author's Notes: If ever you saw flame and ice face to face, it was those two women.

Kitty Winter:
In her heart an ice splinter.
Though her rage is aflame,
She can’t melt away the shame.

Our friend Inspector Hopkins was angry.  “You are fortunate that Miss Violet de Merville had such an illustrious protector.  Had circumstances been different, Mr Holmes, and you had committed burglary on behalf of Kitty Winter, we would have seen you standing in the dock.  I look forward to the day when justice is indeed blind and all are treated equally.”

Sir Leslie Oakshott
Was, of course, in on the plot
To make Holmes’ injuries seem worse
Though Mrs Hudson knew she wasn’t needed as nurse

Notes: Moran's PoV. And no Beta-reading for these, pray your forgiveness.

Plannign Revenge Or How does Colonel Moran spend his time in Dartmoor Prison.

“If your man is more dangerous than the late Professor Moriarty, or than the living Colonel Sebastian Moran, then he is indeed worth meeting.”

Through my window I can see the sunset.

It’s bloody annoying.

My last cellmate endured my company for whole four days, before he killed himself. I didn’t even have to incite him. Well, not much.

I read a lot. Before I barely touched a book. But to plan my revenge on Holmes The Hound of the Baskervilles proves particularly educative.

Pairings: unrequited Holmes/Watson, asexual!Sherlock

Moving out had not been my idea. Holmes suggested it.

I would miss our quiet evenings; being close to him. But it was for the best. Holmes might even love me, yet it was not in his nature to give me what I desired.

I took lodgings in Queen Anne Street, as close to Baker Street as I could afford.
