Summary: Part of a detective’s education is doing the research.

***
A house on Great Orme Street near the British Museum. The box-room comfortably holds two men unafraid of physical intimacy. A full-length mirror is available for appropriate placement, should the desire for one arise.

Holmes and I returned from our surveillance with a vow to return with two particular members of the constabulary – journeys do indeed end in lovers’ meetings.

Mrs. Hudson will be relieved that her own broom cupboard will be receiving far less interest in the future ^_^

You know, I did wonder who would be taking on Mrs. Warren's rooms after the Luccas went... Nice picking up on "journeys end in lovers’ meetings". And I'm sure Small Hobbit will be thrilled that she's made yet another convert to her ships ^^

I read it that way and then realised it also applies to Gregson and Leverton as far as the story goes, but this is clearly incorrect ;)

I'm sorry - but thinking of either Holmes or Watson with Gregson is just traumatic ^^" (:P)

As Frankles said above, this is brilliant! It set my mind going with all sorts of possibilities.

Would you mind if I followed them up at some point?

At last! My lovely cupboard is now back to storing brooms,
For strange clandestine matters are now moved to other rooms.
And Mrs Warren now must deal with incidents nefarious,
When truncheons intertwine with Gladstone bags and Stradivarius.

Alas, Mrs Warren has suffered a touch of the vapours
And I am getting back my irrepressible lodgers.

One takes the opportunities with which one is presented:-p
And...I think I can hear a certain broom cupboard sighing with relief...

I'd never heard the 'jouney's end' phrase before now and thought it odd. But I guess it's common?

More real estate in the cupboard empire! I guess it's useful to have amorous bolt-holes about town, you know, just in case one is taken, as often appears the case in this 'verse. Nicely done.

The quote is from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. It's not particular common, but has it's uses ;)
