Oooh, I'd read that. How would she track down that Escott was really Holmes, though?

That would be the challenging bit, yes. Maybe she uses a consulting detective?

Oh, oh yes. She saves up all her money then comes to see Holmes with the intention of hiring him to find Escott and recognises him and has a stampy hissy fit. After all, she loses both fiancé and employer in one night, she must have a bit of a rough time of it after that.

Actually, she'd probably work out that Holmes was involved in the death of Milverton once she knew he was Escott. Blackmail chances don't get much better than that.

My wayward muse is paying you, isn't she? :-) Argh, wanting to get on with my idea connected to To a Doctor's Wife, not that I'm any further forward than I was in January...

I usually find myself writing 5 or 6 things at the same time, but I know everyone works differently. Writing only one thing at a time tends to frustrate me.
